Barn with attached animal shelter and stable/outbuilding. Recorded
by 1777, probably mid C18. Coursed rubble stone with alternating
flush quoins, stone slate roof with coped verges. Z shape complex.
Large barn with projecting gabled bay on south side with further
projecting raking low cart entry with corrugated metal gates
approached up a ramp. Two-light stone framed window over.
Catslides to each side of bay, with small lean-to projecting
further on left hand return. Probably stable to left with plank
door and timber lintel turning angle to north. Animal shelter to
right with 7 bays to east and 4 bays turning angle to south, five
of the seven with half block walls between the dividing square
stone piers. Forms an important roadside landmark, but complete
view and interior not accessible at time of survey.
