Detached cottage. C17 (built in two stages, No 8 being the
earlier of the two). Coursed squared and dressed limestone, stone
slate roof, ashlar stacks. Rectangular plan. Small C20 artificial
stone lean-tos at rear not of special interest. 1½ storeys. Five
bays. Two single light, one 2-light and one 3-light stone-
mullioned casement to ground floor. Three 2-light C19-C20 dormers
from eaves. C20 part-glazed door to No 9 (left). C19 plank door
with glazed panel and heavy timber door frame with curving lintel
to No 8. Gable end and axial stacks with moulded cappings.
