Farmhouse. Late C18 on core probably of C17. Main range of
coursed stone with alternating flush quoins on plinth with hipped
stone slate roof and rear lateral stone stacks, on rendered core
with steep pitched stone slate roof and stone stack. Core of L-
shape, 2 storeys and attic, with 2-storey wing added on south
front, and C19 single-storey wing projecting on right hand return
with tall stone ridge stack. Main range has 3 windows, 12-pane
sashes in plain stone architraves. Ground floor has tripartite
sashes of 4/12/4 panes in similar surrounds, flanking central
doorcase with ashlar porch probably of early C19, with beaded
surround to outer opening, moulded cornice and small central
pediment or gable with shallow pitched roof behind. Half-glazed
inner door, probably original. Older range has mostly 12-pane
sashes.
Interior has most original joinery in later section, and C18 stick
baluster stair in former front of earlier section.
