1/81 The Crown Inn

II


Inn. Late C17/early C18. Rubble stone, slate roof, one small
rendered ridge stack, one stone gable stack to right and one rear
lateral stack. Single range with small single storey extensions
to north and south west. 2 storeys, with attic in gable ends. 2
windows (probably originally 3, but central one blocked over long
period as only slight indication in stonework of original
position), 3-light to left, 2-light to right, chamfered mullions
with moulded lintels and architraves under square hoodmoulds, with
iron casements. Two 3-light on ground floor flanking central
boarded door under very large flat unmoulded slab supported on
large curved brackets.
