Farmhouse. Core probably of C17, with early C18 refronting.
Coursed and dressed rubble stone with alternating flush quoins,
stone slate roof, ashlar end stacks with offsets. Single range
with cross range in centre at rear, long single-storey additional
range to north and small lean-to range to south. Two storeys and
attic. Main facade in 2 sections with 4 windows, left hand side
has 2 C19 margin sashes, right hand side two 2-light stone mullion
and transoms. Ground floor has single C19 margin sash to left,
doorcase with projecting semi-circular beaded soffit, plain
fanlight and double doors with 3 flush panels each, and 2 stone
mullion and transoms to right. String band at different levels on
each side over ground floor windows and join in stonework clearly
visible above front door on right hand side. Three small gabled
dormers with UPVC windows. Reputed to be site of at inn built by
Sir Edmund Tame in C15.
