Former farmhouse. Early-mid C17 and late C17-early C18, mid C18
and C19. Coursed, squared and dressed limestone and roughly
coursed limestone rubble, stone slate roof, 2 stacks rendered, one
stone. 'U'-shaped plan with 2 bay early core with through passage
(marked by position of porch) at centre, early C18 single bay
extension right, mid C18 extension rear right (possibly reusing
foundations of C16 building), C19 extension left of main body.
Main body; 1½ storeys, 4 gable dormers to garden front. Most
windows 2 and 3-light C20 steel casements. Canted C19 bay lower
right, single fire window left of canted bay. C19 four-panelled
door within late C19-C20 gabled limestone porch. Two storey single
bay extension right lit by two 3-light C20 steel casements, stopped
hood over ground floor casement. Three-light ovolo-moulded stone-
mullioned window to basement of mid C18 extension rear right
(possibly reused). Axial stacks to main body, gable end stack to
extension right of main body. Flat gable end coping and roll
saddles at apexes of gables.
Interior of early core; intersecting beams with deep chamfers and
beaded decoration, open fireplace with bressumer in room with
canted bay. Tie beams with moulded barred stops in room left of
cross passage.
