Formerly row of 2 houses, now large house attached to former
maltings and warehousing (q.v.). Mid C18; early and mid C19
additions. Earliest part roughcast rendered; coursed and random
rubble limestone to later parts; brick rebuilt chimneys; stone
slate roof. Two-storey; single-storey part at east end. Front:
scattered casements to earliest part, to left of roughly central
doorway with glazed door and gabled porch these are timber cross
windows with stone surrounds and flat arches; 3-light chamfered
mullioned casements to right. Ridge-mounted chimneys to original
gable ends. Addition to right with 2-window fenestration, C20
restored 3-light mullioned casements with hoodmoulds to ground
floor, iron casements in timber frames and stone flat arches to
upper floor. Single casement with timber lintel to lower part,
right. Short return wing at west end links with former maltings
and warehousing. Interior not inspected. Important position
closing view up Main Street.
