Very large tithe barn. Early C18. Rubble stone with flush stone
quoins, Cotswold stone slate roof. Central opposed cart entry,
gabled to front and rear, with tile-roof lean-to to right and
square tower on far right, with a hipped roof containing a
columbarium (entrance on inner side), and ball finial and
weathercock. Slit ventilation to east, north and west blocked, as
are pitch hole on north gable and arched entrance at north east
corner. To rear, hipped gable projecting to left, 2 storey gabled
cart entry with relieving arch to right with slate roof lean-to
between. Interior of 17 bays, king-post trusses, but including
stone partition wall on south side and timber partition to north.
Interior completely full of machinery and some parts inaccessible.
Inner wall of hipped cart entry has graffiti dates 1742 and 1757 in
apparently authentic lettering. Owl hole on north gable.
