Former farmhouse, now house. Early C18; C19 extension. Flemish
bond brickwork, tiled roof. Five-window front, 2 rooms deep, 2
storeys and unwindowed loft; 2-storey, single bay on right.
Front: plinth: window to cellar left, cambered brick head.
Centre, 4-panel door, up 2 stone steps, panels flush, rectangular
light over, all under open, single-storey porch, wrought-iron
supports on late C20 brick bases, supporting tent-shaped metal
roof. Either side two 2-light mullion and transom windows,
cambered brick heads. Plain string course. First floor 5
similar windows. Plain eaves fascia with moulding above, lead
eaves gutter behind. Parapet gables, slight step part way up,
flat top over presumed narrow central valley: external chimneys
centre of each end, diamond in raised headers on top of left one.
To right open lean-to over 2-light casement, 4-panel door; 2-light
casement above lean-to roof. Internally: dog-leg stair, square
newels, moulded rail and string, turned balusters. Six-panel door
to front, left room, fielded panels, eared surround on room side,
St Andrew's crosses to each panel to hall. Fielded panelling,
dado rail, small dentils below moulded cornice. Panelled shutters
and window seat. Semi-circular corner cupboard, panelled doors
below, shaped shelves, shell head, dummy keystone over. Cast-iron
C19 fireplace surround. Small cupboard inset in wall in room to
right, semi-circular head slightly indented to single panel to
door. Forms group with Tudor Cottage opposite (q.v.). _,
