Cottage. c1830-40, probably by Paxton and Robertson. Coursed squared sandstone and ashlar. Overhanging Welsh slate roof with decorative brackets to the gables. Ashlar ridge stack and stack rising from the pitch of the roof.

L-plan, single storey. Two-bay south elevation has projecting gabled bay to left with wooden cross window in ashlar surround. To the right in the angle between the two wings, a latticework timber porch with C20 glazed door. To the right a wooden cross window in raised ashlar surround. Similar window to the east gable end and two similar to the west.

Built as part of the picturesque model village by Paxton for the Sixth Duke of Devonshire.
