Cottage. Dated 1725, with initials R.B.M. on lintel. English garden wall bond
brickwork, with stone dressings, slate roof, brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 4
bays. Stone chamfered plinth course, quoins and cornice. Moulded entrance
surround, C20 door. C20 steel casements in C19 openings with drip moulds and
mullions removed. Window surrounds were probably inserted by George Head Head
when he converted this into a girls school c1835.
