2 houses and outbuildings. C18 with early C19 alterations and mid to late C19
bank barn. Stone, the house part roughcast, with slate roofs. 2 storeys,
5 bays, the 1st 2 bays probably later. Wide verges and eaves. Windows are
sashed with glazing bars, but 3rd bay of ground floor has casement window.
Entrances have gabled trellis porches, that to right has wide-board door with
wood lock and strap hinges. Cross-axial stack and gable-end stacks. Left
return has window with pointed sash. Right return has 2-bay gabled wing;
rectangular bay window with paired sashes. To rear of house to left, lean-to
outshut and small gabled wing; rear kitchen wing to right hand house adjoins
outbuilding to west with sashed windows with glazing bars. Range with granary
to 1st floor forms 3rd side of backyard. These outbuildings have collar and tie
beam trusses and slate dripcourses; external stair to granary and remains of
2-light wood-mullioned windows to 1st floor. North side has pivotted door and
infilled passage. Bank barn to west has north pivotted barn doors and
ventilation slots. To south, winnowing door over cow house doors, all with
slate-hung lintels; cow house has quatrefoil iron columns supporting joist.
