House.C17 or earlier, altered C1800 and extended C18 to late C20. Timber
framed and tile hung C18 front rendered, and with weather boarded extensions.
Slate and plain tiled roof. Old entrance front: 3 storeys on plinth with plat
band and paired modillion eaves cornice to double - pitched roof, with stacks
projecting and offset to end left, and to rear left and to rear right on 2
rear wings. Regular fenestration of 3 glazing bar sashes as 2nd floor, 2
keyed tripartite glazing bar sashes with central keyed round headed glazing
bar sash on 1st floor, with small inserted casement to right, and tripartite
glazing bar sash, single (in place of doorway) and French doors on ground
floor. The end right window bay on each floor extends the elevation into the
hip end of the right return cruz. This is a C17 or earlier framed wing of 2
storeys and garret with half.-hipped roof, with 2 mullioned windows exposed
on 1 st floor, otherwise casements and glazed door. Present main entry
in left return with panelled door in large porch. Rear elevation formed of
2 half hipped ends of rear wings, with C20 canted bay and flat roofed weather
boarded extension, and wooden casement to garrets, tripartite glazing bar
sashes and central round headed glazing bar sash on floor, and glazing bar
sashes to ground floor. A dated lambskin (1660) found in part of structure.
