18/67 How Bank farmhouse
with adjoining barn
& byre

House, probably mid C18 (1749 date on beam in barn opposite) with later
additions and alterations. Rendered rubble with quoins. Graduated slate roofs
with rendered chimneys. L-shaped plan with wing projecting to rear of house. 2
storeys. 4-bay house has plank door in gabled porch with paired sash and single
sash to right and 2 sashes to 1st floor. 2-bay threshing barn to left has
window and winnowing door with large double doors to rear. Lower byre to far
left has 2 doors with loft access above.
