Farmhouse. Late C16 with later alterations and C18 extension at lower level to
right. Stone rubble; graduated greenslate roof; stone ridge. 2 end chimneys to
original part: left with single round shaft, right with paired round shafts;
single end chimney to extension; chimney with round shaft to rear. T-plan. 2
storeys plus rooflit attics. 3 windows, irregular, of 3 or 4 lights with
chamfered stone mullions and surrounds under hood moulds with labels. C19 iron
framed casements. Off-centre stone gabled porch with ball finial, heavy studded
oak board door with strap hinges in timber frame. Extension has central
6-panelled door with iron "H" hinges under segmental arched head with stone
voussoirs; C19 casements to either side and small casement to far left; 3 C19
casements over Interior has, to ground floor: chamfered beams; 2 original
fireplaces in living room,one with wide arched opening with stone voussoirs; the
other smaller, has flat stone lintel with segmental arch cut into face; remains
of repositioned C17 panelling with added plaque with initials and date AM.

Fragments of plaster frieze. Upper floor: 2 fireplaces with stone surrounds,
one with 2 round-headed arches cut into face and decorative carved stop, the
other with chamfered, square design cut into face; small oak newel stair to
attics; C17 panelling; 2 powder rooms with panelled doors. Roof of original
part 5-bays: steeply pitched principals with collars pegged at ridge, ridge
piece -and 2 levels of purlins.
