Barn. 1st half C16. Ground floor very roughly coursed ragstone,
first floor tile-hung, plain tile roof. 2 storeys, with hipped
roof. 2 very small single-light first-floor casements. Double
doors to centre of ground floor. Later lean-to to left, stone on
ground floor, weatherboarded first floor. Integral lean-to to left
half of rear elevation with stone ground floor. Weatherboarded
above, with boarded double doors up 11 concrete steps parallel
to rear wall, giving access to first floor. Interior: partly
weatherboarded. 4 bays. Rear aisle to left 2 bays only. Only
first floor timber-framed. Mid-rail to first floor. Some arch-
bracing to walls. Principal posts with gunstock jowls. Aisle
posts formerly with passing shores. Arch-braced, slightly cambered
tie-beams. Plain crown posts; 2 with 2 braces to collar purlin,
and 1 curved brace to tie-beam, one to front, one to rear; one
crown post with only one brace, to collar purlin. Grooving
suggesting partitioning of aisle from rest of barn.
