This was originally one of the buildings of the grange of St Augustine's Abbey,
Canterbury. Early C16. Long timber-framed building, the ground floor rebuilt
in C16 red brick but the timbering partly visible above on the east side with
red brick infilling, though partly weatherboarded, the first floor of the west
wholly weatherboarded. Tiled roof with 10 king posts inside. The west front
has 2 projections, originally waggon entrances, with tiled gables and 2 small
red brick buttresses to the lower portion of the ground floor. The east front
has 7 loop lights.
