An early C19 facade to an C18 town house. 3 storeys and basement stuccoed.
Moulded stone parapet coping. 5 C18 sashes, some having Italianate surrounds.
Centre wirdow spaces are blanks. Moulded architrave to central second floor
window space. First floor central window space has a stone pediment, console
brackets and 3 paterae. The other windows on this floor have cornices and
console brackets. Cast iron anthemion moulded balconettes. 2 stringcourses,
1 with ovolo moulding. Ground floor is rusticated. The windows on the groun
d floor are round-headed. Doorcase has a segmental fanlight and guilloche
frieze. 4 steps. Footscrapers. The interior contains
an Cl8 staircase with 3 turned balusters to each step and scrolled.
tread ends. The right side ground floor room has C18 panelling,
a carved wooden overmantel depicting flowers and fronts and a wooden
cornice frieze. Fielded panelled doors.


Nos 1 to 9 (consec) and Nos 12 to 24 (consec) form a group.
