Cloth hall, now house. Early C16 with C18 additions and C19 cladding and
alterations. Timber-framed and clad with red and blue brick on ground floor
to right and tile-hung above with wide rendered band below eaves. Projecting
gabled wing to left, with red and blue brick ground floor, and weather-boarded
first floor. Plain tiled half-hipped roofs. Very tall central brick ridge
stack. Two storeys and garrets. Irregular fenestration of 2 windows on each
floor, mixture of C18 casements and large C19 wood mullion and transom windows.
Half-glazed door in centre with gabled brick weather porch. Deep catslide
extension to rear out of which grows C18 2½ storey half-hipped rear block to
right. Interior: Substantial timber frame survives. Inserted stack with
stone fire surround dated 1592.
