- House.

Hall-house, now public house. Early C16 with C18 refronting and C19/C20 render-
ing. Timber-framed and rendered with shallow painted plinth. Cornice band
between ground floor and first floors. Plain tiled hipped roof. Tall pebble-
dashed stacks to right on ridge and left on ridge of rear wing. Hall-house plan
with later wings to rear. Two storeys and attic with small C20 square-headed
dormer in centre. Irregular fenestration of 5 windows on first floor, all
glazing bar sashes, and 3 on ground floor, large casement window with mullions
and transoms. Half-glazed door in moulded surround to right of centre. Flat-
headed porch with Tudor-arched entrance and similar shaped side openings to left
of centre. Half-glazed door behind. Interior: Substantial frame intact.
Moulded beams in ground floor room to right. Large stone fire-place with Tudor-
arched surround, late C16
