GV II

House. C16, altered and extended c.1820. Timber framed and clad and extended with
red and blue brick on sandstone base and tile hung on first floor with plain tiled
roof. Main elevation, C19, two storeys on plinth with brick corbelled course to first
floor and hipped roof with stacks to rear left and to end right. Regular
fenestration of 3 glaring bar sashes on first flint and 2 on ground floor and
central half-glazed door with rectangular fanlight and moulded flat porch roof on
tapered posts. Brick dated 1820 to left of door. Half hipped rear wings and single
storey service wing with boarded half-doors and metal casements. Interior: rear
wing with exposed, probably C16 frame and large stone stack now facing into C19
wing with inglenook and salt cupboard. Both wings with modest early C19 moulded
wood and plaster work.
