- Nos 1 & 2, Hill Cottages

Possible hall-house, now cottage-pair. Early C16. Timber-framed on red brick
plinth and weatherboarded. Steep plain tiled roof, hipped with gablet at right
end. Ridge stack off centre to right. Possible former hall-house plan. 2
storeys. Slightly irregular 4 window first floor, 3 window ground floor, a
mixture of large 2 and 3 light wood framed casements. Boarded doors at extreme
right and to left, that to right, (No 1) with flat hood on brackets, that to
left (No 2), with gabled open trellis work. C19 weather porch. Interior: Sub-
stantial timber framing evident with jowled posts.
