House. Dated 1789 on brick in rear wing, with late C19 sashes. Red brick on
dressed stone plinth, C20 interlocking tile roof, flanking brick chimneys.
L-plan, with C19 extension to rear wing. 3 storeys and cellars; 3-bay front,
the centre bay slightly advanced. Brick eaves cornice with corbelled dentils.
Late C19 sashes without glazing bars, in slender moulded architrave frames. All
windows are set in original openings, square to second floor, and retain
original shaped plaster lintels with oval fan motifs. Central half-glazed door
in wooden doorcase with architrave frame, fluted frieze on fluted brackets, and
moulded pediment. Door is approached by 5 stone steps, concreted over, with
fragmentary railings. Rear wing has tall stair window and transomed 3-light
wooden casements the upper window altered. 2-storey C19 extension with 3-light
horizontal sash to first floor and C20 casement and door below. Large early C20
2-storey canted bay window to rear of left bay of front wing. Interior retains
simple contemporary stairs with stick balusters and cut scrolls to string, and
one fireplace with delicate Adam-style ornament to first floor right.
