1st half of the C18. 2 storeys in painted brick with original plain tile
roof and early C19 eaves cornice.
5 sashes with glazing bars. The main feature is a pharmacists' shop front
of circa 1830 of 2 projecting shop windows with panelled bases surmounted
by bands of vertical needing. The windows being reglazed at time of survey.
At each extremity of the front a semi-elliptical elongated Doric attached
column on a pedestal. Flanking the modern centre door are 2 elongaged
Doric columns on pedestals with metal serpents twining realistically round
them. Plain lintel across the whole front with enriched shelf cornice
with plain paterae. There is a small plate glass display window inserted
in an opening at the north side of the above. The most interesting shop
front of this date in the town.
