Farmhouse. Probably late C18-early C19 with later additions and alterations
for Sir Christopher Sykes, 2nd Baronet of Sledmere. Pinkish-brown brick in
English garden wall bond with Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys with attics,
3 first-floor windows. Slightly projecting, off-centre round-headed brick
arch to full height with brick imposts. Slightly to right of this the
entrance a part-glazed door. Three 16-pane sashes to ground floor and to
outer bays of first floor under flat arches of gauged brick. To first floor
centrel a round-headed staircase window, 12-pane sash with radial glazing to
head. Attic windows flanking brick arch are unequally hung, 3-light 10-pane
Yorkshire sashes. Stepped band and overhanging eaves. Hipped roof. Ridge
