Farmhouse. Late C18 with later additions and alterations. For Sir
Christopher Sykes, 2nd Baronet, probably to his own design. Pinkish-brown
brick in English garden wall bond with Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays.
3-course plinth. Coupled pilaster strips to cornersand single strips
between bays. Central entrance a 6-fielded-panel door with 6-paned basket-
arched overlight under segment head and with recessed jambs. 16-pane sashes
throughout under cambered arches of gauged brick. Stepped and cogged eaves.
Hipped roof. Central stack. Interior: staircase with fretwork balustrade.
