Vicarage, now residential home. 1790 with early C19 wings. Built by Thomas
Kipling, Vicar of Holme-Upon-Spalding-Moor. Yellow brick to central range,
brown brick to wings, pantile roof. 2 storeys, 3-bay central range flanked
by slightly projecting 2-bay wings. Central bay breaks forward slightly
with C20 glazed PVC door in plain doorcase with canopy held on fluted
consoles. All windows are unsympathetic C20 PVC casements in original
openings, those to central range beneath slightly cambered arches, those to
wings beneath gauged brick flat arches. Eaves band and high parapet with
blind central panel to central range, blind oculi to gable
ends of wings. Ridge stacks. Interior: fluted coved cornice with paterae
to drawing room, which also has original fireplace with carved swags. Open-
string staircase with 2 column-on-vase balusters to a tread, and ramped
handrail. Many original 6-fielded-panel doors. Brick elliptical-arched
fireplace to former kitchen, now a bedroom.
