House. Mid C18 with C19 cross wings to rear. Colour-washed brick on stone
plinth, pantile roof. Central-hallway entry with cross wings to rear. 2
storeys and attic, 5 bays. 6-fielded-panel door beneath overlight in Doric
doorcase with square-section pilasters, fluted entablature and pediment.
Sashes with glazing bars beneath flat brick arches,those to ground floor on
continuous stone sill. Eaves gutter held on square brackets. Steeply-
pitched roof with 2 casement dormers, shaped kneelers, raised gable ends
with tumbling-in, rebuilt end stacks. Interior: open-string staircase with
slender square-section balusters, turned newels and carved tread ends.
Original fire surrounds to left and right reception rooms. Original,rather
squat 6-fielded-panel doors to ground floor.
