Wrongly marked as Upperthorpe Hill on Ordnance Survey Map. Farmhouse. 1769
with later minor additions and alterations. Brown brick, whitewashed to
front, rendered to left gable end. Concrete tile roof. 3-room plan with
lobby-entry to right, original dairy outshut to rear right with C19 outshut
addition in angle. South front: 2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. C19
half-glazed door in original C18 frame beneath segmental arch. Pair of C19
four-pane sashes to left in flush wood surrounds with sills beneath
segmental arches. Unsympathetic C20 casement to right. Original C18 12-
pane sliding sashes to first floor. Stepped and cogged brick eaves cornice.
Tumbled-in brick to raised gables. Large ridge stack to right with C19-C20
rebuilt upper section; end stack to left. Gable ends have wrought-iron
letters "I W" to left, and figures "6 9" to right. Interior contains beamed
ceilings, inglenook fireplaces; not fully investigated. Empty and
unoccupied at time of resurvey.
