Farmhouse. Early-mid C18, with later alterations. Red-brown brick.
Pantile roof. L-shaped on plan: 2-room, lobby-entry east front with wing to
rear right. 2 storeys with attic, 4 bays to front. Entrance to third bay
has C19 door beneath overlight flanked by single C19 4-pane sliding sashes,
all beneath C19 segmental stretcher arches; blocked opening to first bay
beneath original C18 rubbed-brick flat arch. 3-course brick first-floor
band. First floor: C19 4-pane sliding sashes beneath segmental arches to
bays 2 and 4; blocked window to first bay and blind recessed window panel to
third bay beneath original rubbed-brick arches, shallower than that to
ground floor. Plain rebuilt stepped eaves (formerly cogged brick). Brick-
coped raised gable to left, roof hipped to right. Central axial stack.
Left gable end has 2-course brick bands at first floor and eaves level,
blocked attic door and wrought-iron letters "R R" to gable. Right return:
ground-floor board door, C20 casement, small ventilator hatch, panelled door
and 16-pane sliding sash beneath segmental arches, blocked door and wooden
ventilator hatch to far right; first-floor 16-pane sliding sash to right,
with blocked original window opening to left, both beneath segmental header
arches; stepped and cogged brick eaves cornice, coped gable with projecting
end stack; right end has C20 rebuilt upper section with incongruous single-
pitch roof. Left return, rear wing, has first-floor band, sashes beneath
segmental arches. Empty and disused at time of resurvey. Interior not
investigated.
