House. Mid C18. Brick in English bond, concrete tile roof. Central-entry
house with cross wing to rear. 2 storeys, 3 bays. 4-panel door beneath
divided overlight. 16-pane sashes throughout. Segmental arches to all
openings. 4-course first-floor band. Dentilled eaves band. Rebuilt end
stacks. Interior: closed-string staircase with column-on-vase square-knop
balusters and square-section newels. 6-fielded-panel doors and 4-panel
internal shutters to ground-floor reception rooms. Service wing contains
chamfered cross beam with wavy stops to one room, and post reused as cross
beam to another. Roof: knee pieces and machine cut timbers set in simple A-
trusses with tusk-tenoned butt purlins.
