Dovecote/stable/granary range. 1776 with later C18-C19 addition to west.
Red-brown brick. Pantile roofs. Rectangular on plan, 3 rooms. 2-storey
stable/dovecote and contemporary low 2-storey stable/granary adjoining to
west with later west extension. North side: dovecote section to left has
single ground-floor board door beneath segmental arch, first-floor board
door beneath timber lintel. Lower section to right has board stable door
beneath segmental stretcher arch, straight joint between builds, board door
to right beneath segmental stretcher arch, small hatch to right, single-flue
roof stack. Double stepped eaves throughout. Tumbled-in brick to raised
gables. Left gable to dovecote has 6-pane casement in reveal and wrought-
iron figures "7 6". South side, facing street; dovecote section has ground-
floor board door beneath cambered arch with pair of inserted pipe breathers
to right, blocked first-floor hatch; section adjoining to left has board
door beneath concrete lintel, row of 4 pipe breathers and 6-pane window
above beneath lintel at eaves level; left extension has board door beneath
segmental arch, 2 pairs of blocked breather slits, C20 rebuilt eaves
section. Double stepped eaves throughout. Interior: first-floor dovecote
contains full range of brick-built nesting holes. Included for group value.
