Shown on Ordnance Survey as Brook Farm.
Farmhouse. Early C17 with C20 alterations. Timber-frame with rendered infill,
plain tile roof, brick stack on sandstone base with moulded sandstone string
and detached brick shaft to right wall of right wing, also central stack in
rear roof slope of main range. E-plan. 2 storeys, all three projecting wings
gabled; fenestration irregular, mainly C20 casements, entrance in angle between
right cross-wing and main range in single storey C17 porch, entry also to left
side of central wing. Framing: 4 square panels high to wall-plate, except centre
wing which has 6 panels; trusses: right and centre have 2 collars, and queen
struts; left has single collar, queen struts and V-struts in apex. Interior:
room entered from porch has ovolo moulded beams.
