Circa 1600. Timber-framed. Remodelled C18. Stuccoed. New tiled roof with gabled
ends. 3 storeys. 2 small splayed bay windows of sashes on 1st floor on carved
soffits. Continuous cornice over 1st floor and bays. 2 small 2nd floor sashes
in moulded casing, with vertical glazing bars. Large Victorian shop front with
dentilled cornice and pilasters. Within the modern front is said to be an original
post with bracketed head. Some exposed timber framing on south return. Long timber
framed wing at rear with 4-light wood mullion/transom window. RCHM (29).
Nos 1 to 21 (odd) form a group with Nos 1 to 5 (consec) Church Street.
