Large farmhouse, possibly a court or manor house. Probably late C16,
altered C17 and early - mid C18. Timber-frame to rear part with brick
and rendered infil, painted brick to front, hipped plain tiled roof and
brick end stacks, brick modillion cornice. 2 storeys. Entrance front
of 6 glazing bar sash windows under segmental heads, 4 on ground floor
with 2 smaller windows flanking a central 6-panel door which is under an
overlight and pediment on carved consoles. Irregular rear elevation of
3 bays: the centre is gabled with a C19 bay and oriel window, curved
braces to the upper floor; left hand bay has some close-studding but mostly
painted brick and with bay window; 2 storey gabled porch at right. Interior
retains some C17 panelling and a staircase with turned balusters.
