Farmhouse. Probably C16 to C17 with later alterations. Timber-frame with
plaster infill, partly rendered; set on high plinth. Thatched roof and
diagonal brick stack. Rectangular plan aligned north/south. Two storeys.
East elevation has three windows, 2-light late C19 casements, those two to
centre and right in half-dormers set in eyebrows. Ground floor has 3-light
casement to left-hand side and a 2-light casement to each side of roughly
central ledged early C19 door under gabled porch. Frame is irregular with
four square panels from cill to wall-plate on left-hand side and three to
centre and right. Attached to right-hand side is a single storey extension
partly in exposed timber-framing and partly weatherboarded with a corrugated
iron roof. Interior not inspected (RCHM, Vol III, p 109).
