Farmhouse, now house. Mid- to late C17 with mid-C19 and late C20
alterations. Timber-framed with painted brick infill on tall painted brick
and sandstone rubble plinth with some rubble walling and slate roof. Two
framed bays aligned east/west with external chimney and rebuilt brick stack
on north side. Two storeys and attic. Framing: three rows of panels from
sill to wall-plate, queen post truss at east end. Main entrance elevation at
east end: there are two ground floor 2-light C20 casements and an attic light.
A substantial timber-framed lean-to outshut adjoins the north elevation,
enclosing the chimneys and with a lean-to C20 addition on its east side. This
has a large 4-light window in its east elevation and the main entrance which
has a C20 door in its left side. There is also a further addition on the
south side. (RCHM, Herefs III, p 71, item 14).
