House. Early C16, with C20 alterations. Close-studded timber-framing with
wattle-and-daub infill on sandstone rubble plinth; Welsh slate roof; brick
shaft to stack. L-plan with rear wing extending to NW. Three bays aligned north/south with entrance to west; large central axial stack. Two storeys with upper storey carried on jetty; moulded bressummer supported on curved brackets with attached shafts to wall-plates. Three 3-light C20 casement windows with leading on first floor. Ground floor with two similar 3-light C20 windows to right of doorway with overlight and 4-panelled door. Rear wing noted as having internal side-purlin roof with wind bracing and exposed timber framing and transverse partitioning of heaving scantling. (RCHM, Vol III, p 167, item 48).
