Farmhouse. Probably C14; remodelled in C18 and again in late C19. Timber-
frame with brick cladding and extensions. Welsh slate roofs with sandstone
rubble and brick stacks. U-plan with main former hall-range aligned north-
east/south-west and arms projecting to south-east. Two storeys. South-east
elevation is late C19 with 1:2:1 windows, 4-pane late C19 sashes under blue
brick cambered heads. Central contemporary gable brick porch with 4-panelled
door. North-west elevation has projection to left, probably early C19 with
cast-iron casement to its right-hand return. First floor of main range has
four cross-casements, probably C18, to the right of which is a large sandstone
rubble side stack. Interior has seven bays of trusses, probably C14, alternat-
ing, except for two, between massive cambered ties with cusped raking struts
and collars supported by arch-braces. Principals and wind-braces are also
cusped. Central and north-eastern trusses each have tie supported by large
central post. At junction of main range and north-east cross wing there is
heavy wall-framing interrupted by a wide ogeed head to a blocked first floor
doorway.
