Farmhouse, now house. c1600 with mid-C19 alterations. Timber-framed, painted
brick and rendered infill, brick refacing and replacement walling, plain tiled
roofs. Hall and cross-wing plan; hall of two framed bays aligned south-west/
north-east with C19 north-east end chimney and large inserted chimney in south-
west bay with group of four stacks to north-west roof pitch; cross-wing at south-
west end is of two framed bays, and has an external chimney with off-sets and
two stacks to side elevation; all stacks are C19 and diagonally-set. Two storeys;
gable ends have moulded bargeboards and pendant finials. Framing: four panels
from sill to wall-plate, short straight upper corner braces; north-west gable
end has slightly projecting attic storey with moulded bressummer and a collar
and tie-beam truss with three struts to collar and concave V-strut in apex.
C19 casements throughout. Main north-west elevation: ground floor of hall has
a 2-light window with a plank weathering and a bow window; cross-wing gable
end has a ground- and first-floor 3-light window, the first-floor window has
a plank weathering. Main entrance in south-west elevation; C19 gabled and
balustraded porch on a brick base with a C20 door. Interior not inspected
but likely to be of interest. C19 additions at rear.
