Farmhouse. Late Cl7 with mid-C19 alterations and additions. Painted
brick, plain tiled roof and large external brick chimney to rear right
with modillion detail at base of stack. Two storeys, attic and cellar;
moulded string course with modillion detail between storeys; three bays;
from central bay projects a two-storey gabled porch; outer bays have
16-pane sashes except for first floor window of right bay which has cross-
casements; central gabled porch wing has a round-arched entrance above
which is a hoodmould with returns and large dropped keyblock; at first
floor level is a moulded pediment, containing a defaced ornament, above
a blind window, with a gauged flat head and flanked by moulded diapers;
in the left side elevation is a round-headed light and in the right side
is an oval window with a moulded architrave; within the porch is a late
Cl? studded door, set behind a C20 glazed door and having a moulded archi-
trave and transom light with three vertical glazing bars. In the right
side elevation are two blind ground and first floor windows, the first
floor ones have moulded cornices and modillion detail. C19 additions at
rear, of two storeys with dentilled eaves cornice.
