The garden contains a commemorative monument in the shape of a monstrance in
Portland stone, the whole heavily carved with exotic garden plants and flowers.
The centre panel is inscribed "Matri optimae benemerenti posuit Richardus Warner
1748" (Richard Warner set up this monument to a very good and deserving mother
1748.) Adjoining the monument are the ruins of a chapel, probably of C18 date,
built of flint and brick, but with some ashlar and some reset pieces of mediaeval
window tracery.
