Church. 1914. H P Burke-Downing, architect. Brown brick, some stone dressings;
steeply pitched red tiled roof to eaves. Simplified late Gothic manner. Tall 5-bay
nave with roof ridge running straight through into chancel; south aisle only (north
aisle never constructed); no clerestory. South eastern bell tower, rising over east
wall of chancel, narrow and slab-like with paired openings and saddleback roof; clock
to south face. Arched moulded entrances to west (pointed) and south west (round
headed); capitalless. South aisle with paired lancets between buttresses. East
window of 3 lights, flanked by paired 2-light windows; cusped 'Y' tracery. West
end with pair of 2-light 'Y' traceried windows separated by stone statue of saint;
powerful flanking buttresses to projecting nave. Interior not inspected.
