1867 by John Giles. Nave, aisles, short apsidal chancel. Kentish ragstone
in crazy paving pattern with freestone dressings. French C13 style with plate
tracery and flat buttresses. In 1889 vestry, porch and north-west tower added.
Tower of 4 stages with short, pyramidal slated spire and angle turrets. Long,
paired bell-openings below. Six-bay nave has polished grey granite columns
with foliated capitals. Similar short, attached columns form corbels of roof
and chancel arch; long red granite shafts support ribs of apse. Plastered
walls and handsome timber roofs. Modern chancel panelling and choir stalls.
Some interesting glass in south aisle.
