Stable block to Birchwood Mansions. 1907 by W J & William Collins in an Arts and
Crafts style. Rendered with brick dressings. Plain tiled roofs, half-hipped with
gablet on front block to right with two small dormers. Half-timbered gabled porch
on timber-posts flanked by two dormers to right of central carriage entrance leading
to yard surrounded by carriage houses with boarded doors in U-plan round yard.
Boarded gabled loft-entries in roofs on three sides. The rear of the entry block
has loggia with splat timber balustrade to right over carriage entry. The roof
of the front block is brought down to left of entry to form small cottage with two
windows on ground-floor and one on first floor. To right under the arch are three
doors, the two to left boarded, the right half-glazed. Interior inaccessible at
time of survey.
