House. 1888-9 by James MacLaren. Studio house of free design built for
the sculptor H R Pinkes. Brick with stone dressings, the latter now pain-
ted. 3 main storeys with another in the tiled roof. Low porch. Large,
partly glazed studio-door. Leading to casements partly missing. Added
plumbing to front. Small octagonal lantern with wind-vane crowning what
is almost a turret where front sets forward.
