1833. Small terrace each cottage 2 storeys, 2 windows. Low pitched, hipped slated roof with eaves soffit. Yellow brick with red brick dressings, Gauged brick flat arches to sash windows with glazing bars and,round arches to recesses in which ground floor windows are set. Stone cills. Round arches to doors. Doors modern. No 74 has modern windows and has lost its glazing bars. Blank panels above doors. Plaque at lst floor centre: "COTTAGE PLACE 1833". Included for group value.
Nos 70 to 76 (even) form a group with The Hermitage and Stable Building
attached and its forecourt walls.
