School Chapel. 1874. Stone rubble clad with weather-boarding. Pantiled roof with
shaped bargeboards at the gable ends, clay ridge tiles and apex cross at east end.
Plan: Small rectangular plan chapel with entrance porch towards west end on south
side and integral leanto vestry towards east end on north side.
Complete C19 fenestration of timber windows with large 4-light window at west end,
3-light window at west end, and two 2-light windows on south side, all with cusped-
headed lights. Plank door to south porch which has gabled roof with shaped
bargeboards.
The school-chapel was built in 1874 as a temporary structure on land rented from the
railway company, at the expense of the then rector, Revd. Robert Trefusis.
