1889, by Bucknall and Comper; chancel and vestries under added by Comper in 1894.
Perpendicular style. Red brick with stone dressings and tile roof coverings. Nave
of 6 bays with north and south aisles; arcades of moulded equilateral arches dying
into square piers. Two pointed arches in west wall opening into narthex. Chancel
of 3 wider bays with ambulatory and south chapel. Three storeys. Hammer-beam roof-
stained glass in east window by Comper, whose first church this is.
