Barn, cartshed extension on right, another extension on left.
C16, left extension 1774 (datestone). Timber-framed, on stone
plinth, faced corrugated iron to road, weatherboarding to rear,
butt-jointed boarding right gable barn: some woven panels as air-
vents survive. Corrugated iron roof, left extension tiled. Left
gable to extension flattish stone, larger quoins. Road facade:
left, high stone plinth, corrugated iron above, to extension.
Barn set slightly forward, double boarded doors, one bay, double
opening, originally doored, now only bottom half closed, further
bay. Slightly set back single bay opening for cartshed, flat
head, corrugated-iron above, with square opening, originally with
shutter, on left. Right return stone ground floor, corrugated-
iron above. Weathervane on left gable barn, plain bargeboards.
Left return, left extension 2 small slit air vents in bottom,
square shuttered pitch hole above, quatrefoil air vent and
date stone in gable.
Barn interior, framing 3 or 4-panel high, curved braces to sill.
Curved braces main posts to tie beams survive to 2 trusses, angle
strut trusses, 1 pair purlins, no ridge. Interior left extension
not inspected. Forms unusually complete group with house and
cowhouse, (q.v.).
